Can’t put your phone down, or stop thinking about it? One powerful hack is to put your phone into grayscale mode. This makes apps, and especially those that trigger that dopamine hit (I’m looking at you TikTok), less addictive and easier to put down.
You will be amazed at the change in your relationship with your phone if you switch to grayscale.
For iPhone the setting is in Settings - Accessibility - Display & Text Size - Color Filters - Turn on Color Filters and choose Grayscale. For Android it is Settings - Accessibility - Color and motion - Color corrections - choose Grayscale. You can also make a shortcut to it so you can turn color back on when you need for Maps, for example.
